Neptune Technology & KGL Foundation rolls out a Transformative Digital Workshop.
In a pivotal move to digitally empower Ghana’s thriving creative industry, Neptune Technology, with the support of the KGL Foundation

has launched an ambitious initiative aimed at transforming how creatives operate, collaborate, and succeed in the digital economy.

The pilot event, a practical workshop held at Oyarifa (Ospaces), marked the initial phase of the initiative titled “Developing Digital Enhancement Platforms and Tools for Creative Arts Business.” Backed by a strategic grant from the KGL Foundation

The project seeks to identify the real challenges faced by creatives and develop tailored digital solutions. This inaugural workshop, attended by a carefully selected group of creatives chosen through a rigorous application process, represents the first step in a broader initiative designed to equip creatives with the tools, platforms, and strategies necessary to scale their work in a digital landscape.

A Hands-On Digital Deep Dive

The event commenced with a comprehensive overview of the project’s objective: to meet creatives where they are, understand their pain points, and co-create customized digital solutions that can elevate their artistic endeavors.

Participants engaged in a hands-on experience, starting with a session titled “Building Your Own Digital Toolkit.” This presentation provided insights on how creatives can select, structure, and streamline digital tools to enhance efficiency and visibility.

Pitching and Diagnostic Session

Attendees took center stage during an energetic pitch session, showcasing their diverse talents—from a videographer capturing life through cinematic frames to a vlogger/blogger chronicling modern narratives and digital culture, a graphic designer shaping visual identities, and a storyteller and poet/spoken word artist who brings language and performance to life. The atmosphere buzzed with authenticity and innovation as each voice contributed a fresh perspective.

These pitches served not only as showcases but also as diagnostic insights into the real-world challenges faced by the creatives. The Neptune team utilized these presentations to facilitate a brainstorming session, where participants explored solutions to their specific hurdles. In groups, they developed practical ideas, which were then refined and optimized by workshop facilitators to ensure strategic viability.

Exploring the Digital Terrain

In the second core presentation of the day, the team guided participants through an honest exploration of the digital landscape for creatives, discussing the promises of early tech adoption, the realities of platform dependency, and the keys to long-term digital sustainability. Mr. Benjamin Graham, lead external facilitator, presented on “The Digital Landscape for Creatives” where he touched on a number of key points including the relevance of LinkedIn as a great network and business connection platform for creatives to take advantage of.

The workshop concluded with an engaging Q&A session, where ideas flowed freely, and participants were encouraged to challenge assumptions, share insights, and define next steps

Building a Future-Ready Creative Ecosystem

More than just an event, this workshop served as a blueprint for co-creation. It demonstrated that when creatives are empowered to articulate their needs and engage with digital solutions hands-on, the outcomes are significantly more impactful and sustainable.

“This workshop is more than an event; it’s a launchpad for transformation,” stated by Mr. Roger Dakey, Team Lead and Senior Creative Idea Generator of Neptune Technology. “By listening to creatives and co-creating solutions, we’re building a future-ready digital ecosystem that empowers Ghanaian talent.”

“This is the first time I’ve felt like a digital strategy was being built with us and not just for us,” remarked Trevor Oppong Brako, a participant. “It’s refreshing to see a tech company genuinely listening to creatives.”

The success of this event signals a promising future for the project as it scales and continues to support Ghana’s creative sector. If this first workshop is any indication, Neptune Technology and the KGL Foundation are set to become key architects in the country’s digital creative evolution.
